All three are open fonts and ship with Parch tooling. Persian text falls back to Estedad automatically in mixed-direction strings because the font stack is ordered Saira → Estedad → system.

Rules

  • Line length: 60–80 characters for reading text, the portal's article column is capped for this reason.
  • Headings are sentence case in English and normal case in Persian; no all-caps headings except small uppercase group labels (used sparingly).
  • Weight carries hierarchy; size carries it further. Never use color alone to distinguish headings from body.
  • Numbers in data-dense UIs use tabular figures where the toolkit supports them (font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums).

Persian typography

  • Use Estedad at the same nominal sizes with ~1.05× line-height; Arabic-script letterforms are taller.
  • Persian numerals (۱۲۳) are preferred in Persian UI strings; keep Latin numerals in code, versions, and package names.
  • Do not letter-space Persian text; it breaks letter joining.
  • Mixed-direction text (Persian + package names) uses Unicode bidi isolation so package names stay LTR inside RTL sentences.
