Window anatomy
A Parch application window is: header bar (title + window controls), optional
toolbar, and body. The header bar uses --surface-2, the body --surface,
and content areas are separated by 1px --border hairlines, not shadows.
┌──────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Header bar: icon · Title – □ ✕ │ ← surface-2
├──────────────────────────────────────────┤
│ Toolbar / tabs (optional) │ ← surface + border-b
├────────┬─────────────────────────────────┤
│ Sidebar│ Body │ ← border-s separator

Settings rows
The settings row is the workhorse of preference surfaces: leading icon, label + description, trailing control. Rows group under an uppercase group title inside a bordered container.

Rules
- Header bars never scroll away; toolbars may.
- One action per row; complex per-item actions move into the row's context menu.
- Descriptions are optional but recommended for switches and selects.
- Group related rows; 3–7 rows per group keeps scanning fast.
See the mock application gallery for full-window examples of these patterns assembled into complete apps.
